Counter-Rotating Design for Mine Main Ventilation
FBCDZ series is developed for coal mine ventilation networks where main fans must handle larger airflow, higher resistance adaptability and long-term continuous operation. Compared with ordinary single-stage axial mine fans, the counter-rotating structure uses two impellers rotating in opposite directions to improve pressure adaptability and reduce intermediate guide vane losses.
This series is suitable for surface extractive ventilation in large and medium-sized coal mines. It can also be considered for mine ventilation projects where explosion-proof protection, high efficiency, reverse airflow capability and stable performance under changing resistance conditions are required.
Core Structural Advantages
The two impellers rotate in opposite directions, reducing guide vane losses and improving fan efficiency under mine ventilation network resistance.
Direct connection avoids transmission device failure risks and reduces energy loss, helping improve overall installed fan efficiency.
Motors are installed inside pressure-resistant sealed covers in the main air duct, helping isolate the motor from gas-containing airflow while supporting cooling and positive pressure protection.
The fan can reverse airflow by reverse rotation. Reverse airflow can reach about 60% of normal airflow, reducing the need for a separate reverse air duct.
Blade installation angle can be adjusted according to mine production and ventilation demand, improving adaptability to different operating stages.
The fan is designed for stable operation under different mine network resistance conditions, helping support continuous main ventilation operation.
Reference Technical Parameters
The following data is for preliminary model comparison. Final selection should be confirmed according to mine ventilation network resistance, required airflow, static pressure, gas condition, reverse airflow requirement, motor configuration and installation layout.
Representative Model Parameters
Motor Isolation and Positive Pressure Protection
The motor is installed inside a sealed cover in the main air duct. The sealed cover has pressure resistance and helps isolate the motor from gas-containing airflow in the fan passage.
Streamlined air ducts connect the sealed cover with outside fresh air, allowing fresh air to enter the cover and helping maintain positive pressure during operation. This structure supports explosion-proof operation and motor cooling in mine ventilation applications.
