What is a dust collection fan used for?
A dust collection fan moves dust-laden air through capture hoods, ducts, collectors and filters while maintaining the required suction and conveying velocity in the complete dust exhaust system.
Should the fan be before or after the dust collector?
It depends on the system design. A clean-side fan after filtration can reduce impeller wear, while a dirty-side fan requires dust and wear review. Fan position should be confirmed with collector type, dust condition and duct layout.
When should C6-48 be reviewed?
C6-48 can be reviewed for light dust, wood chips, fine fibers and similar loose particles. Particle size, duct resistance, outlet direction and whether pre-separation is needed should be confirmed before selection.
When should 9-19 or 9-26 be reviewed for dust collection?
9-19 or 9-26 may be reviewed when the system has higher static pressure, long ducts, multiple elbows, baghouse resistance, loaded-filter pressure drop or larger airflow demand.
