How do I choose between axial and centrifugal fans?
Axial fans are commonly reviewed for large airflow and lower resistance. Centrifugal fans are often a stronger direction when the system requires more pressure.
What information is needed for fan selection?
Airflow, pressure, system resistance, medium, temperature, dust or gas condition, installation, voltage, frequency and quantity.
Can you replace a fan from another manufacturer?
Yes, after engineering review. Old nameplates, drawings and interface dimensions are useful, but the actual airflow, pressure and operating condition should be reconfirmed.
Can fans be configured for corrosion, temperature or hazardous areas?
Yes, where the required material, temperature range, hazardous-area data and project compliance can be confirmed for the selected configuration.
What drawings and documents can be provided?
Depending on the project: datasheet, performance curve, GA drawing, manual, inspection documents, packing list and applicable conformity documentation.
Why should the final model not be chosen by motor power alone?
The same motor rating can correspond to different airflow and pressure combinations. The complete duty point, resistance, medium and installation conditions must be reviewed together.
