High Pressure Fans

Product Overview

Industrial high-pressure centrifugal blowers and fans are engineered to overcome high system resistance in complex duct networks, filtration systems, and pneumatic conveying lines. Designed specifically for continuous-duty operation in demanding industrial environments, these units deliver stable pressure generation without surging. Each industrial high-pressure fan is matched to specific duty points using backward-curved or radial blade configurations, ensuring optimal aerodynamic efficiency and mechanical durability across fluctuating load conditions.

Construction & Working Principle

Working Principle
Kinetic energy is imparted to the incoming air or gas stream via a high-velocity rotating industrial centrifugal fan impeller. As air enters the eye of the impeller, centrifugal force accelerates the gas radially outward into the scroll housing. The volute casing converts this high velocity into static pressure before discharging the air into the downstream duct network.

Structural Assembly
Casing: Continuously welded carbon or stainless steel plates, structurally braced to withstand internal static pressures up to 15,000 Pa without structural fatigue.
Shaft: Forged 40Cr alloy steel, precision-machined, ultrasonic tested for internal defects, and ground to strict bearing fit tolerances.
Bearings: Heavy-duty spherical roller or pillow block bearings (SKF, FAG, or equivalent) rated for an L10h bearing life exceeding 100,000 hours under rated load.
Shaft Sealing: Labyrinth seals or packing gland seals provided to prevent gas leakage on high-pressure or hazardous gas applications.

FAQ

Q: How do I select the correct industrial high pressure fan for a duct system with variable resistance?

A: Fan selection requires plotting your system resistance curve (P = R * Q^2) against the fan's characteristic performance curve. Select a fan operating point slightly to the right of peak efficiency to ensure stable surge-free operation, leaving a 10% to 15% static pressure safety margin for filter loading over time.

Q: What is the difference between direct-driven (Arrangement 1) and belt-driven (Arrangement 3) centrifugal fans?

A: Direct-driven fans mount the impeller directly onto the motor shaft, offering higher mechanical efficiency, zero belt slip, and lower maintenance requirements. Belt-driven fans utilize a separate shaft and bearing assembly connected via pulleys, allowing adjustable fan speeds to meet exact airflow demands and isolating the motor from high gas temperatures.

Q: How is impeller wear mitigated when handling abrasive dust or particles?

A: For abrasive material handling, blades are fabricated from 16Mn or Hardox wear-resistant steel plates. Alternatively, tungsten carbide coatings are applied to high-wear zones. We also recommend incorporating a cyclone separator upstream of the fan inlet to drop out heavy particulates.

Q: What motor efficiency ratings and electrical standards are supplied?

A: Standard motors comply with IEC IE3 (or NEMA Premium Efficiency) standards, operating on 380V, 415V, or 690V at 50Hz/60Hz. Explosion-proof motors (Exd II BT4 / ATEX Zone 1 or Zone 2) are available for hazardous operating environments.

Q: What maintenance is required to ensure long-term mechanical reliability?

A: Routine maintenance includes inspecting bearing lubrication intervals (greasing every 1,000 to 2,500 operating hours depending on temperature), checking V-belt tension on belt-driven models, monitoring vibration levels, and inspecting impeller blades for material buildup or abrasive wear.

Q: Can custom dimensions or flange connections be accommodated for replacement projects?

A: Yes. Custom inlet/outlet dimensions, bolt-hole patterns, flange drillings (ANSI, DIN, JIS), and overall footprint dimensions can be engineered to match existing ductwork layouts during retrofit projects.
