Description
Double-Inlet Industrial Centrifugal Fan
4-2×79 Double-Inlet Centrifugal Fan

The 4-2×79 is a large-air-volume double-inlet centrifugal fan series with Type E belt drive. The available performance data covers fan sizes 8E through 20E for industrial ventilation and air-moving duties requiring high airflow with moderate total pressure.

Fan selection should be based on the required airflow, total pressure, gas density, system resistance and operating margin rather than fan size alone.

Double-Inlet Structure

Built for Large Air Volume

The 4-2×79 uses a double-inlet centrifugal arrangement so air enters the impeller from both sides. This configuration is suited to applications where a single fan must handle a large air volume while maintaining the required system pressure.

The performance schedule uses Type E belt-drive configurations. Different rotational speeds and motor ratings are available within each fan size so the operating point can be matched to the project duty.

Final fan and motor selection must be confirmed against the required airflow, total pressure, gas density, system resistance and operating margin.

Drawing & Installation Data

Confirm Dimensions After Duty-Point Selection

The performance schedule covers several fan sizes, rotational speeds and motor configurations. Because the final arrangement depends on the selected fan size and drive configuration, installation dimensions should be checked against the project-specific outline drawing.

For layout or replacement projects, send:
Required airflow and total pressure
Preferred or existing fan size
Existing inlet and outlet connection dimensions
Available installation space
Existing motor power and speed, if replacing a fan
Rotation / discharge orientation requirements
Project voltage, frequency and phase

Typical Project Directions

High-Volume Industrial Air-Moving Duties

Factory Ventilation

Large-volume supply or exhaust duties for industrial buildings.

Process Air

Air-moving systems where airflow and system resistance define the fan duty point.

Large Duct Systems

Centralized ventilation systems requiring high airflow through duct networks.

Replacement Projects

Existing large centrifugal fan replacement where duty and interface data can be supplied.
