Description
Dust Collection Fan Product

C6-48 Dust Collection Centrifugal Fan

A C-type centrifugal fan for light dust, wood chips, sawdust, fine fibers and similar loose particles selected from the complete dust collection operating point rather than from model name alone.

Selection route: dust source → capture airflow → duct and collector resistance → fan position → C6-48 operating point → rotation and outlet direction.

01 · Dust Type

Light, Loose Particles

Wood chips, light sawdust, fine fibers, textile dust and similar low-abrasion particles.

02 · Airflow

Capture Demand First

Confirm hood demand, active branches, duct velocity and the required design airflow.

03 · Pressure

Include Full Resistance

Ducts, elbows, dampers, separators, baghouse filters and outlet loss all matter.

04 · Installation

Confirm Fan Position

Check clean-side or dust-laden-side position, rotation, outlet angle and site access.

Dust Collection System Route

Place the C6-48 Inside the Complete Dust Handling Route

Fan wear and real operating pressure depend on what happens before and after the fan,not only on the fan itself.

Dust Suitability Matrix

Suitable Direction vs Separate Engineering Review

Typical Review Direction

Light and Low-Abrasion Dust

Wood chips and light sawdust
Fine fibers and textile dust
Workshop dust exhaust
Reduced-dust airflow after separation
Replacement projects with known data
Separate Engineering Review

Abrasive, Sticky or Hazardous Dust

High-concentration cement or mineral dust
Metal particles or strongly abrasive dust
Sticky, wet or viscous material
High-temperature or corrosive gas
Combustible dust or explosion-risk conditions
Wear-risk note: For hard or abrasive particles, review pre-separation efficiency, dust concentration, fan position, impeller material and wear protection before quotation.
Performance Reference

C6-48 Preliminary Performance Range

The existing data is retained for preliminary reference. Final selection must be checked against the real operating point, performance curve, dust condition and motor configuration.

Data note: Existing pressure values should be checked against the original C6-48 performance table or curve before formal technical selection.
Installation Direction

Rotation and Outlet Angle

Clockwise rotation from the transmission side is marked as right-hand rotation; counterclockwise rotation is left-hand rotation.

Typical outlet positions include 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, 180° and 225°.

Transmission Structure

Impeller and C-Type Drive

The impeller handles dust-laden airflow. Hard particles require separate wear and inlet-protection review.

C-type belt drive includes shaft, bearing box, pulley and related components.

Dust Application Scenes

Typical Application Directions

Wood Chip Exhaust

Light wood chips and sawdust after transport route and inlet protection are reviewed.

Fiber Dust Removal

Fine fibers and light dust from textile and fiber-processing equipment.

Workshop Dust Exhaust

Dust-laden workshop airflow with known capture demand and system resistance.

Reduced-Dust Exhaust

Collector or separator outlet conditions where the dust load has been reduced.

Light Particle Collection

Loose particles after dust hardness, concentration and fan position are checked.

Replacement Review

Projects with an old nameplate, drawing or measured operating-point data.

FAQ

FAQ About the C6-48 Dust Collection Fan

What is the C6-48 typically used for?

Light wood chips, sawdust, fine fibers and similar loose, low-abrasion particles.

Can it handle cement or mineral dust?

Not automatically. Abrasive mineral dust requires separate wear and pre-separation review.

Does particle size affect selection?

Yes. It affects transport velocity, separation efficiency, inlet protection and wear risk.

Should a collector be installed before the fan?

For hard or abrasive particles, pre-separation should normally reduce the load before the fan inlet.

Which pressure value should be supplied?

State static pressure or total pressure and include the complete system resistance.

What should be sent for quotation?

Airflow, pressure, dust properties, temperature, duct layout, fan position, outlet angle, voltage and quantity.
