KCS Series Mine Wet Dust Collector Fan

KCS Series Mine Wet Dust Collector Fan

KCS Series Mine Wet Dust Collector Fan is designed for dust control at coal mine heading faces, tunneling faces and underground excavation workplaces. It combines air extraction, wet spray dust suppression and local air purification to reduce total dust and respirable dust around the working area. Common models include KCS-90, KCS-120, KCS-145, KCS-180, KCS-225, KCS-265, KCS-320, KCS-410 and KCS-418D-I, with special specifications available upon request.

Description
Underground Heading Face Dust Control Equipment

KCS Series

Mine Wet Dust Collector Fan

KCS Series Mine Wet Dust Collector Fan is designed for underground heading faces, coal mine roadways, tunneling excavation and other workplaces where dust is generated near the working face.

Unlike a general ventilation fan, this equipment focuses on local dust extraction, wet spray dust suppression and air purification. It is normally arranged together with the press-in ventilation system to reduce dust concentration around the excavation area.

Underground heading face
Common Models
KCS-90 to KCS-418D-I
System Use
Dust extraction + spray

Designed for Dust at the Working Face, Not Only Airflow

Dust at the heading face is different from ordinary workshop dust. It is generated close to the excavation point, moves with the roadway advance and must be controlled together with the ventilation duct arrangement.

The KCS Series Mine Wet Dust Collector Fan is used to extract dusty air near the working face and reduce dust concentration through wet dust suppression. The equipment can be moved forward with the working face, making it suitable for continuous excavation and tunneling operations.

The final installation arrangement should follow the mine ventilation plan, gas safety rules and local site management requirements. Please confirm the working face layout before selection.

Typical Mine Dust Control Layout

01

Near-Face Dust Extraction

The suction duct is arranged close to the working face to collect dust before it spreads along the roadway.

02

Wet Spray Suppression

Water spray is supplied during operation to improve dust capture and reduce airborne dust concentration.

03

Linked Ventilation Operation

The dust collector fan is normally managed together with the press-in ventilation fan to avoid unstable airflow.

04

Moving with the Face

The unit can be installed on a suitable support and moved forward as the working face advances.

Installation Reference from Heading Face Operation

Item
Reference Arrangement
Purpose
Fan Position
Installed about 40–45 m from the working face on a suitable support
Allows the equipment to move forward with the excavation face
Suction Duct
The suction duct end should be arranged close to the dust source
Improves local dust collection before dust spreads
Press-In Duct
The press-in ventilation outlet should be coordinated with the dust collector position
Reduces the risk of circulating airflow and unstable dust capture
Water Supply
Clean pressure water should be supplied during operation
Ensures wet dust suppression effect and stable spray performance

Confirm size, airflow, power supply and site arrangement before quotation

Note: Detailed airflow, motor power and electrical configuration should be confirmed according to the selected model and project requirements.

Management Points During Operation

Interlock with Ventilation Fan The dust collector fan should be managed with the press-in ventilation fan according to the site safety control logic.
Avoid Circulating Airflow The air volume of the press-in duct should be checked to avoid airflow circulation around the dust collector section.
Keep Spray System Working When the dust collector fan is running, the spray system should also be opened to maintain the wet dust removal effect.
Move Forward with Progress The suction duct and dust collector arrangement should be extended as the excavation face advances.
