Specialized Fan for Wire Rod Controlled Cooling

This axial flow fan is used below or alongside the air-cooling conveyor after wire rod laying. A fan bank supplies large-volume airflow through multiple cooling zones, helping regulate coil temperature and cooling intensity during continuous production.

The fan is intended for high-speed wire rod mills, Stelmor-type cooling conveyors and metallurgical controlled-cooling systems. It is not a general-purpose ventilation fan; selection must be coordinated with the rolling-line process, wire rod specification, conveyor arrangement and cooling target.

Final fan quantity, airflow distribution, pressure, motor configuration and control method should be confirmed from the complete cooling-line design rather than from a single reference working point.

Fan Banks Work with the Conveyor Control Strategy

Fans are arranged along the cooling conveyor to create multiple controlled cooling zones. Airflow can be adjusted by zone according to wire rod specification, laying temperature, production speed and target cooling curve.

The fan system should be coordinated with roller conveyors, movable guide plates and line-speed control. Conveyor speed may remain consistent across the line or increase downstream according to material transfer and cooling requirements.
