Many mines, contractors and maintenance departments continue to operate Soviet-era VME / ВМЭ local ventilation fans. The original manufacturer may be unavailable, drawings may be incomplete and spare parts may be difficult to source. Qiyue can review the available old-fan information, but final replacement selection still requires confirmation of the actual airflow and pressure required by the mine ventilation system.
Replacement Principle
A VME fan replacement is an engineering match, not a nameplate copy.
An old VME / ВМЭ designation is a useful starting point. It may indicate the original axial arrangement, nominal diameter, motor position and typical use. It does not by itself confirm that a newly manufactured fan will meet the present mine duty, duct resistance, ventilation distance or installation interface.
Old equipment information
Model, nameplate, photo, general arrangement drawing, impeller diameter, motor power, speed and historical performance curve.
Current system duty
Required airflow, static or total pressure, ventilation duct data, resistance, air temperature, mine environment and operating period.
New fan configuration
Fan diameter, impeller direction, motor, electrical supply, mounting base, flange, duct connection, safety configuration and project documentation.

Fan + Duct Engineering
Low airflow does not automatically mean the VME replacement fan should be larger.
For a duct-connected local ventilation system, fan capacity and duct condition must be reviewed together. High resistance, leakage, kinks, restricted sections or damaged joints can reduce the airflow that actually reaches the working face.

Duct Diameter & Ventilation Distance
Confirm actual duct diameter, total length, bends and section changes before checking the required fan pressure.

Leakage, Kinks & Damaged Connections
Inspect duct joints, damaged sections, collapsed areas, sharp bends and visible leakage that may increase system loss.

Actual Delivered Airflow
Where measurements are available, compare fan-outlet airflow with working-face airflow to distinguish fan-capacity problems from duct-system losses.
Replacement tip: send the old fan nameplate together with duct diameter, total duct length, ventilation layout and current airflow records whenever available.

VME / ВМЭ replacement questions
Can you replace a VME / ВМЭ fan from the old model number alone?
The old model is useful for preliminary identification, but it is not enough for final selection. Required airflow and pressure must be confirmed with the current installation and ventilation conditions.
What if only an old drawing, curve or motor data is available?
These documents are useful for engineering review. We will compare them with the required airflow, pressure, duct condition and installation interface before confirming a replacement direction.
Can Qiyue manufacture a replacement with a different current model?
Yes. The final Qiyue model may differ from the historic VME / ВМЭ designation when needed to match the confirmed duty, motor, mechanical interface and project requirements.
Can EAEU documentation be discussed for this replacement project?
